We have added a further high-yield black cartridge to the Kyocera A3 range: the TK-7235, a compatible toner cartridge for the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ4000i. It is filled with 1000 g of Mitsubishi toner powder and, like the OEM part, is supplied as a complete kit rather than a bare cartridge.

It is a kit, not a bare cartridge
Kyocera lists the TK-7235 for the MZ4000i as a toner kit, and the packaging shot above shows what that means in practice: the cartridge sits in a moulded pulp tray together with its waste toner containers. Dealers pricing this model should therefore quote the kit as a whole rather than the cartridge on its own. If the waste container is left out of the quotation the unit cost looks better, but the customer still has to change it — and the shortfall tends to come back as a complaint rather than an order.
Chip, powder and body
Every cartridge is supplied with a chip, so the machine recognises it and reports the toner level normally from the first page. The body is brand new, produced from our own high-precision moulds rather than a refilled original, and filled with Mitsubishi toner powder for solid black density, no dusting and no background. Kyocera has continued to tighten cartridge authentication through firmware updates in 2026, so if you run a fleet it is worth telling us the firmware version when you order — we will match the chip generation to it rather than shipping whatever happens to be on the shelf.
Where it fits
The TASKalfa MZ4000i is a 40 ppm A3 monochrome multifunctional used in offices, copy shops and print rooms. A 35,000-page cartridge is changed relatively rarely, so demand for this model is steady and predictable rather than project-driven. Buyers in this class compare on cost per page and on whether the chip is accepted without "non-genuine toner" messages, which is why we treat chip matching as part of the product rather than an afterthought.
