We have added a new colour product to our Kyocera range: the TK8585CMYK (also written TK-8585), a compatible colour toner cartridge set for the Kyocera TASKalfa MZ4001ci, MZ5001ci, MZ6001ci and MZ7001ci. It is supplied per colour as TK-8585K / TK-8585C / TK-8585M / TK-8585Y, filled with 500 g black and 400 g colour toner.

Why the fill weights are split
Kyocera's own specification for this family is not even across the four stations, so we fill black at 500 g and each colour at 400 g rather than using one figure across the set. That is what keeps page yield aligned with the OEM rating instead of quietly running short on black - the complaint dealers hear most often when a mixed set is filled to a single weight. The toner itself is Mitsubishi powder, chosen for good solids, clean backgrounds and no dusting, and the set reproduces rich blacks, accurate colour and smooth half-tones at production volumes.

Where it fits
The MZ4001ci to MZ7001ci line is Kyocera's current A3 colour class, and these machines are normally bought to run colour work in-house - marketing material, tender documents, plans and presentation packs. Buyers in this class compare cartridges on cost per page and on how rarely a set interrupts a job, so a stable fill weight and consistent colour density matter more than a small difference in unit price.
